Privacy & analytics notice
This notice explains what information the SeamCode website handles, why it is useful, and the choices available to visitors.
Last updated: 12 August 2026
Overview
SeamCode is an Australian technology services business. We use limited website data to understand which services people find useful, improve the site, protect it from misuse and respond to enquiries. We do not sell visitor data, build advertising profiles or request a device's precise location.
Privacy questions, access or correction requests, and complaints can be sent to info@seamcode.com.
Website analytics
Optional first-party analytics
Only after you select Accept analytics, this site records pseudonymous usage events in SeamCode's Cloudflare account. These events can include:
- the page viewed, referring website host and campaign tags;
- links or calls to action selected, visit duration and maximum scroll depth;
- browser, operating system, device category, language and time zone;
- screen and viewport size, connection category and basic performance timing; and
- approximate city, region and country, network number and Cloudflare data centre derived from the connection.
The web server receives an IP address as part of a normal request. For optional SeamCode analytics, the IP address is transformed with a secret-keyed cryptographic hash before the event is stored. The raw IP address is not written to the SeamCode analytics dataset. The hash is used to estimate unique network visitors and is not used to identify a person.
Cloudflare platform analytics
The site is hosted and protected by Cloudflare. Cloudflare necessarily processes connection information, including IP addresses, to deliver and secure the site. Cloudflare's account-level traffic analytics uses request data to provide aggregate visits and country statistics. Cloudflare Web Analytics also measures aggregate page usage and performance without using cookies; Cloudflare states that its Web Analytics RUM service discards the source IP address at the edge rather than storing it in its core analytics dataset.
Cookies and your choices
The site uses one preference cookie to remember your analytics choice. The visitor and session cookies below are created only when analytics is accepted.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
sc_analytics_consent | Remembers whether optional analytics were accepted or declined. | 180 days |
sc_visitor | Distinguishes a returning browser using a random first-party identifier. | 180 days |
sc_session | Groups activity into a short visit. | 30 minutes after the most recent event |
You can change your choice at any time. Declining removes the optional visitor and session cookies. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, optional SeamCode analytics remain off.
Enquiries and project briefs
If you email SeamCode, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your name, contact details and project information. The project brief link opens a form operated by Google. Information submitted through that form is processed by Google and provided to SeamCode so we can review and respond to the enquiry.
Please do not include sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary for your request.
Use, disclosure, storage and retention
- Website analytics is used for aggregate reporting, service-interest trends, conversion measurement, site improvement and security investigation.
- Optional analytics events are retained in Cloudflare Analytics Engine for up to three months.
- Enquiry records are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond, provide services, keep business records and meet legal obligations.
- Information may be handled by service providers used to run the site and communications, including Cloudflare and Google.
- Those providers operate global systems, so information may be processed outside Australia, including in the United States and other locations described in their own privacy information.
We take reasonable steps to limit collection, restrict access and protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Access, correction and complaints
You may ask what personal information SeamCode holds about you, request access or correction, or raise a privacy concern by emailing info@seamcode.com. We will respond within a reasonable period and may need to verify the request. Some analytics records are deliberately pseudonymous and may not be reasonably linkable to a named person.
This notice may be updated when the site, providers or information practices change. The latest version and update date will remain available on this page.
